Go Empower Communities for Development Initiative (GECOD INITIATIVE) is a youth, women and young people led Non-profit Community Based Organisation founded in 2018, aiming at empowering vulnerable communities to amplify their voices, build their capacity, empower them socio-economically, and support them to achieve quality education and good health.
VOLUNTEER
The Systems and Partnerships Specialist will play a crucial role in strengthening and expanding GECOD INITIATIVE UGANDA's systems and partnerships. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance organizational efficiency, build sustainable partnerships, and support the overall mission of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Development and Management
Develop and Implement Systems: Design, develop, and implement efficient organizational systems and processes to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
Monitor and Evaluate Systems: Regularly assess the effectiveness of systems and make improvements as needed to ensure optimal performance.
Data Management: Ensure accurate and secure data management systems are in place for tracking program outcomes and organizational performance.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on new systems and technologies to ensure smooth adoption and usage.
Partnerships and Networking
Identify and Cultivate Partnerships: Identify potential partners, including NGOs, government agencies, private sector entities, and other stakeholders, and develop strategies for engagement.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners to support collaborative initiatives and enhance the organization's reach and impact.
Proposal Development: Lead the development of proposals and funding applications to secure resources and support for organizational projects and programs.
Representation: Represent GECOD INITIATIVE UGANDA at relevant meetings, conferences, and events to build the organization's profile and network.
Strategic Planning and Implementation
Strategic Support: Assist in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with overall mission and goals.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of key projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on systems and partnerships activities, including progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field. A PGD/Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a community-based organization, NGO, or relevant sector.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement efficient systems and processes.
Strong proposal writing and fundraising skills.
